Jim The Computer Man was founded in 2016 by Jim Yang with a focus on providing a professional service with a high degree of technical expertise to home users and small businesses.
We are not a large chain computer repair and IT services business. We are in fact a small local Taree based business. We do however provide the better service than the storefront computer shops do – and at a more affordable rate. We can achieve this because we do not have the high overheads that the chains and storefront computer shops have. With lower running costs we can pass this saving onto our customers, providing affordable repairs and services.
Our growing success is due to the relationships we have built with our customers and our extensive experience, technical skills and cost-effective rates.
With Jim The Computer Man you will be dealing with the owner of the business Jim Yang. As said we are a small business able to succeed and compete with large computer repair businesses providing an exceptionally high level of customer service together with technical skills, knowledge and experience.
Local Business
Repairs, upgrades, computer builds and IT services are provided by the owner Jim Yang. All the marketing and website (SEO) work is done by Jim’s wife Mia Wang. Mia may also answer your calls having a good knowledge of the computer repair business and a very friendly, yet professional manner.
Although we are a small business we have proved very capable in meeting a high volume of customer needs. The normal workshop turnaround time is two to three days which is far quicker than you will find with many of our competitors. Most of our residential (and even some business) customers prefer to bring their machines to our workshop based in Taree.
We can also provide a mobile service the next day if not on the day that you call.
We believe that we provide a superior service at a much more affordable rate than many of our competitors. This is borne out by the extremely high customer reviews that we receive.
Background
Both Jim and Mia had corporate careers before setting up Jim The Computer Man. Jim has an Australian Computer Society recognized qualification and is a Red Hat Certified Engineer. Jim worked as Technical Support and Systems Administrator over 18 years. Jim also worked at a local computer repair shop around 2 years after having moved to Taree and built very good relationshops with the customers.
Based in Taree we (Jim and Mia) can effectively service the Manning and Great Lakes.
Whilst a substantial portion of our business is computer repair services we also provide many other IT services such as building new computers to particular specifications, setting up networks and updating systems.

My computer was completely disabled. I took it to Jim's and he managed to get it going again while I waited ! ! ! Fabulous. Not only that, he checked the drives and found a couple of trojans that were removed. Everything gets put on hold when your computer is down so it was great to get it up and running so quickly.
